Bluff Mine

The Bluff Mine (Bluff) is an open cut mine located in the southern Bowen Basin, near the township of Bluff and 20km east of Blackwater. The mine is adjacent to the Blackwater rail line which connects it to the Port of Gladstone.

BURTON LENTON

The Burton Complex is located around 50km south of Bowen’s Hillalong Project, and 35km north of the Company’s Broadmeadow East Project in the northern Bowen Basin. The Burton Complex includes the Burton Mine and Lenton deposit.

BROADMEADOW EAST

Located around 25km north-east of the coal mining town of Moranbah, Broadmeadow East is Bowen’s second producing mine. First coal was railed from Broadmeadow East in October 2022.

Hillalong

Hillalong is located proximate to Glencore’s Hail Creek Mine in the northern Bowen Basin, approximately 105 km west-southwest of Mackay. The Project hosts the Hynds seam in the Rangal Coal Measures which has demonstrated the ability to yield a high-quality coking coal in the region.

 

Isaac River

The Project covers an area of 14 km2 and is located in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, approximately 30 km west of Moranbah and 130 km southwest of Mackay. The Project consists of Mineral Development Licence 444 (“MDL 444”) and Exploration Permit for Coal 830 (“EPC 830”).

Cooroorah

Cooroorah is located 17 kilometres north of Blackwater, between Westfarmers’ Curragh mine (and MDL 162) in the West and the Jellinbah Mine in the East.

COMET RIDGE

BCB acquired the advanced Comet Ridge project from Acacia Coal Limited. It is located 60km East of Emerald and 25km South of the township of Comet.

Carborough

Carborough is located in a prime coking coal location, immediately south of Glencore’s Hail Creek operation, and northwest of BMC’s South Walker Creek mine. The tenement was acquired in 2018, as part of the Hillalong East acquisition.

 

LILYVALE JOINT VENTURE

The Lilyvale project is located 25km north east of Emerald in the Bowen basin (Queensland Australia) and is in close proximity to the Sojitz-owned Gregory Crinum operating coking coal mine and bordering the Kestrel mine.

MACKENZIE JOINT VENTURE

The Mackenzie Coking Coal Project in the Bowen Basin is well located for export markets as it lies on the existing Blackwater railway line to Gladstone. The project is located between the Ensham and Curragh operating mines and is adjacent to the Washpool coking coal project, which is also targeting the Burngrove Coal Formation.
